Default 95" question

I have got to go into the bottom end of my bike due to the counter balancers so there is no need in puttin a top end with 35000 miles onto a bottom end thats brand new. My mechanic said he could put the 95" upgrade on the motor when he puts it back togather and all I will have to pay for is just parts. How reliable would my top end be if I went with that upgrade? Im torn between just letting him freshen up the top end and go back stock or the 95"

That would make it a nice inexpensive upgrade. Can't beat free labor.

Absolute, slam dunk "YES" to that option, IMO. Enjoy your new 95"

Send the heads to a good machinist for some port work, buy a good set of cams and that thing will be like a whole different machine.

Reliability depends on exactly what you do...Find out what he means for a 95". Just new cylidners and stock heads?

hdspring, how many miles on your bike total? what is your total setup? Cams? What heads? etc? I am curious. I feel that my bike with 62500 on it has too may miles to be going high compression without redoing the bottom end.

I was just gonna put the stock heads back on it with the jugs bored and new flat top pistons. I already have brand new S&S 510G cams in it.. Havent even rode it with them in it yet. The bottom end messed up on the dyno when they were tuning it for the cams but those cams dont do well with compression above 10:1
