Do you have a rear sprocket or rear pulley? The install on a rear pulley is pretty self explanatory. You jack the bike up, pull the wheel off, remove the bolts from the pulley, lay the cover over the pulley, install new bolts and torque to spec, install the wheel on the bike and lower the jack. Yep, it's a lot of work for just a chrome cover. That's why most of the people I know waited until they had to replace the tire before they installed a chrome cover.
