Alright, it FINALLY got to the house. Not Fuelmotos fault, USPS are **** heads. Anywho, I rode it up the street after installing my map and when I got to the turn around point (bout 3/4 of a mile) I stopped and turned it off. NOT HOT ANYMORE!!!! Went on home and when I got back to the driveway, hot as a fire cracker.
So I am thinking, maybe it is hot because it is an internal combustion engine, but it just seems too hot.. And it smells hot when you get close. The enging pings like crazy while it is cooling down.
I got the stock ecu, screamin eagle intake, and V&H longshots with no baffles. Used that map, 805-009. Anyone got a suggestion to keep this beast cool?

the noise your probably hearing is the pipes cooling off, things that heat up expand and contract. but its completely normal. do you have an oil temp gauge, find out what temp its running at and what the normal temperature is supposed to be....all these beasts are hot.
there are some things you can do to help as far as an oil cooler or parade fan, i know just by switching to synthetic fluids your bike will run cooler.

I know what the sound is lol, but I have never heard one that pinged so fast and loud after a mile ride. I have synthetic oil in it and the oil never goes over 140-150... It has to be running lean, but I dont know how to change it up on my PC3

Hook up your computer to your PC 3 and give Kieth at Fuelmoto a call and he will get you dialed in.

pull the plugs and see what they look like,, should be a mocha / coffee with cream color.. if black, your rich if white you may be lean.. usually if you lean the bike will pop a ton on decell...

but yeah,, call fuel moto,, like said above,, they will help you for sure,, great guys

+1 on contact Keith. Be sure to tell him everything about your bike.
Your map is:
M805-009 Vance & Hines Longshots (without baffles) with stock ECU and Screamin Eagle air filter for an '02 thru '06.

If you did not have the ECU flashed with the Stage-1 software, then you have the correct map from Power Commander.

You do not have a customized map from Fuel Moto. Email Keith.
