After a painful install, I finally managed to get the FatCat on my bike, along with a RSD Venturi A/C (Thanks Dr V-Twin!) and an ECU flash thanks to my new Power Vision.

All seems to be running fine, but I have a few questions:
1. The exhaust is LOUD! I’ve got the quiet baffle (at least I thought so) so I’m guessing this normal? Not that I'm complaining, it's just a lot louder than I thought it would be. 2. The bike seems to be running hotter. The heat shields are extremely hot and I noticed the derby cover is very hot, even after riding for just a few minutes. Normal? 3. I’m getting a lot of exhaust gurgling, which sounds like it *might* be popping. Again, normal?
I have always liked the FC's. Problem is they seem to be more popular out West and South.
Here in Indiana I've looked for a bike with them for 3yrs,, so far I've only seen (1) bike with them on. So I can't give a how loud they sound.
I know our tuner said there LOUD... even the quiet baffles only tone them about 2-3 dbs.
I do know Popping can be caused by either a tune that's a little off or an Air leak in the system somewhere.
But Gurgling is normal on some pipes, I can't say bout Ur FC;'s again, only heard them once.
Only thing to cause hotter pipes would be the pipes them selves or shes running a leaner with the new download
I know The new Rush pipe systems have Ceramic coating inside the headers, they claim 300* reduction in header pipes temp.
I know the FC's are among the top for performance, and the Q baffle does even better below 4k than the std baffle
I just got off work for the day, so I'll go for a nice long ride now and see if I can get used to them and make sure it all works like it's supposed to. The things we have to do...
