2011 Fat Boy Lo
Yeah, same with the 2010, no issues, great bike.. there's any number of reasons why people traded in their 2011's.. maybe divorced, maybe they rode home and their wife said "Nope, you need a Street Glide", maybe they lost their jobs and just couldn't make the payments, ya know? As for the prices.. the 2011's came out a year ago (mid 2010), so 9000 miles in a year is pretty excessive.. I wouldn't pay more than about $13k for any of those, and that's top dollar..
The difference between them is mostly ride height and style.
I wouldn't pay that for a used bike either. Good luck!
Hi all; thanks for all the replies!!
Wow! One of the main reasons for my post was to find out if everything is hunky-dory with Fat Boy Lo's in-general, to make sure that it wasn't a "red flag" going up because I found three, 2011, previously owned, Fat Boy Lo's at dealerships within a close proximity to each other.
But, the general consensus seems to be that they're a solid machine and dependable; no worries.
But hey.....the OTHER general consensus seems to be that from the prices I listed of the three previously owned Lo's I came across is that the asking prices are too high!!
Even I myself noticed that that one particular Lo was going for $16,299, which happens to be the MSRP on a NEW Lo! When I asked the dealer about this, the only thing they really said in defense of this price was that the Lo "holds its value well".
That's all well & good, but, let's say I'm in a dealership, and there's a new, left-over 2011 Lo, and a previously owned, 2011 Lo with 9,000 miles on it........and they're both selling for the same price?? Which one do you think I'm going to buy?!?!
So many of you here in this message thread are saying that the prices that I listed are way too high for that many miles on them, plus, it's too close to the MSRP for a new one.
I've been to four dealerships here in Arizona where I live, plus, I've contacted a 5th dealership which has the lowest price of the previously owned Lo's I've come across ($15,299......which, with a little talk, I may be able to get them down to an even $15,000).
Do you think that $15,000 is even too high itself? From some posters in this thread, I'm hearing that 13k to 14k should be tops.....especially since these 2011's are previously owned with 9,000 / 10,000 miles on them.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I could use for a negotiating technique to get them to come down in price?
Thanks for all your input.

If you're going to pay $15000 for a Used 2011 Lo, they had better throw in something like an extended warranty, 15% off all accessories for a year, include the 1000 and 5000 mile services, some free tshirts and stuff, maybe an exhaust system.
However, if you're paying $15000 AFTER taxes and all that, then you're getting in to a fair price range. So tell them either they had better throw something to sweeten the deal, otherwise you're walking out the door at $15k maximum.
If the first doesn't budge at all, wave goodbye and move on to your next dealer.
