Anyone have good description, hopefully with finished picture, of license plate mount cut down to plate size and moved upward a bit? Seems I saw it somewhere but did not turn up in search. Then again I am newbie here... John
I put the plate as high up on the mount as it would go, I marked the holes in the plate with a marker, drilled out the holes, then held the plate up on the mount again and lined it up to the new holes, then I scribed the plastic around the license plate with a razor blade, took the plate back off and cut the outlined part of the plastic off with a dremel tool.
then I bolted my license plate to the mount.
Sorry. Can't help you with the license plate but I just
wanted to point out that that's the way a Deuce should be
slamed in the rear. Well done Flibuoy.

wow... wasn't ready for a compliment on Deuce....thanks...it is a great bike. The rear is down 1 1/2" via longer bolts and the front is down 1 1/4" with Progessive kit. I came down in front because I did not want to screw up the handling through rake change since for me it was just right. Front was way too many $ but worth it IMO after riding a Nightrain that was really slammed in rear without front coming down. A few eyecandy items added but really not much that is not function related. Rhineharts, AC, Dynojet III usb and around 30 dyno pulls makes it run well too. Interestingly the dyno pulls uncovered an unknown crack in hose before the fuel pump which was making it hard to be consistant. At first we thought intake leak then exhaust leak, when both were good it took a little head scratching on the part of Wolfgang at V-Twin in Houston to correct it. I appreciate that he did not give up without bike being right.
The license plate mount modification info was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will do a before and after photo to see how everyone likes it. John
