The sidewinders are not fishtails but they are upswept. They are the pipes shown in the pic above with the gorgeous girl sitting on the bike. As far as quality is concerned, I would recommend Samson over the Ultima up and outs. I had the Ultimas and they were crap. Samson makes high quality exhaust and it is my opinion that you get what you pay for when it comes to Harley parts. Cheap pipes will always rust and need to be replaced. Quality pipes like Samson's will not will not. That is what you are paying for, along with keeping American Industry alive.
You guys need to read the op post properly, he does'nt want fishtails and he does'nt like the Samson pipes or the price of them.
the OP sounds like he's looking for a full exhaust system with upswepts in the $200.. nothing against the poster, but I don't think that's going to happen unless he goes to a junk yard and pulls some off a wrecked bike, or gets lucky enough to find some on eBay..ya know?
and Mark, my friend, you do great work, but stop posting pictures of girls. The guy is asking about exhausts and all you post are pictures of women. I don't even see a motorcycle exhaust in those pictures! It's not helpful bro haha
I personally like the Samson sidewinders my. I have a 2011 crossbones. I think I'm going to buy a set of these for my bike.
Doesn't look to comfortable for a passenger though.
hey guys thanks for the responses.. i have no problem spending the money on the pipes i just havent found any that i really like to drop the coin on. The big growls have the exact style i was looking for. I know you get what you pay for.. Story i love your bike and after seeing those pipes on your ride its kinda changed my mind.. How do they sound? the look is killer man. Sorry if i made my post confusing guys lol anyways thanks again
They sound good man... they have a real nice tone while cruzing and a pretty loud bark when I rump on them. Now I did lose some power compared to my rinehart chamber maids, but I still have them so I can always go back... lol If you do go with the samsons I would say torque cones and if you ride with a passenger you may wanna get some kury peg extensions for her feet. I'm riding this sunday and I'll try to remember to get you some pictures of what my pegs look like just so you know.
