My first Harley
Thought this would be a good spot to introduce myself.
I grew up around bikes, and rode ricers when I was younger, but a few years back I finally bought an old Heritage.
She was 20 years old, ugly (the pics look better than it actually was), and needed some love.
Over the last couple years I would do a little here and there, and stripped most of the ugly off her:
And then finally I did a complete restore on the bike, and made it more of what I wanted. I did all of it, from the paint to the wiring (which is why it has electrical issues:P) and I learned a lot about turning a wrench. I know she isn't what a lot of people would like, but I love her, and I get more compliments on this bike than any other I own or have ever owned, and I wanted to share:
This bike will never win any shows, but I love it. I think I love it all the more because I did it all, even the parts that I messed up on. Even though my OL and I ride an EG for most of the riding, this is still my baby, and gets all my solo time around town.
Anyway, nice to meet all of you, and I wish I would have spent more time here! May have avoided some of those mistakes I made!

Thanks lol, you wouldn't believe how much the chicks love the lights though. the older I get, the more convinced I am that women just like loud shiny stuff.

It doesn't matter at all what anybody's opinion is as long as it turned out how you wanted it. No aplologies necessary. Get used to the compliments, though; seems to come with the territory when you own a Harley! Nice bike and welcome to the Forum!
