Hi there I have a 08 Cross Bones and need to know the torque specs. for the front/rear axle and drive pulley. Maintence book has been ordered but I have mounted new tires yeaterday and dont want to wait for its arrival. Thanks. Tim
My manual specs 55-65 ft/lbs for the rear sprocket screws. It also says to always use new screws.
That's what is says in the 2007 manual too, but my 2009 manual states what
Malinger posted : initial torque 60 ft lbs. Back off 1/2 turn then torque to final of 77-83 ft lbs.
2009 manual also states to discard the front axle nut and get a new one for the xbones.
+1 on the blue loctite. Still no manual but I have not heard about replacing the pulley bolts. I suspect grade 8's will do? I took the bike out for a test ride but will replace the bolts if needed. Thanks for all the replies. Tim
