Default Rear suspension install pointers?

I am going to start work on my rear suspension (hi-lo) and wanted to see if you guys had any pointers.
The oil tank is going to be out, rear fender off. One thing I am not sure of is the lift, I have that HF high position lift. Seems that lower arm is always across my rear shocks. Looks like that is going to make the swap difficult. Will it be ok or is there another way?
Anything I need to watch for or avoid? (with the oil tank swap too)

Just put the lift a little further back. The bike does not need to be 5 feet in the air. I use an HF hi pos lift to do air rides all the time.

Just position the forks under your frame as pictured below. It works great! There's even enough room to roll under on a creeper. Just be sure to use the tie-down straps to secure the bike, and the locking pin to secure the lift, should the hydraulics fail
