Thumbs up My new (to me) FXST

I just picked up a 2006 FXST a couple of weeks back. I've been doing some simple mods and finally have it how I want it.....for now anyway. It already had V&H Big Radius pipes, SE A/C, Chrome switches and hand controls, Stainless braided cables, Sundowner seat, Sissy bar, Detachable windshield and some funky Kuryakyn grips and pegs. So far I've added a Mustang Vintage solo seat, Thunderstar front wheel, Turn signal visors, and rear lowering kit (bolts). I only have it lowered about 3/4" in the pics but plan on going as low as I can until the ride suffers too much. I also scored a set of the HD hard/leather saddle bags for $100 on craigslist. I can go from solo to 2-up touring in about 30 minutes.

Welcome to the Family ,

p.s. try some seats like C&C lowpro or lepera that will put you much lower on the bike and you can avoid the need to lower it more.

Softails are like potato chips - you can't have just one (at least I can't)!

Thumbs up

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with the Softail so far. Right now I'm debating on which direction to go with the handlebars. I currently have the 12" mini-apes with the factory 4" (??) pullback risers and I'm not happy with the tall riser/apes look. I'm either going to go with the short risers and 16"-18" apes or ditch them all together and go back to the StreetSlammer setup like I had on my FXDX.
