Bigger engine, but not sure of the other changes for 2012. I own a 2010 Heritage Softail and it's a terrific all around bike. Classic Harley. City or Highway, it doesn't matter. Great seat for long rides & plenty of storage (something I use a lot!). If you want, pull the windshield for local rides and it gives you a completely different feel. It has a low feel to it and is really easy to handle.

rented one for a day a few weeks ago with the mrs. on the back... great way to do a real test ride (instead of the short test rides that the dealer lets you take). echo the above - especially the low feel. took me a little while to get used to the low down and scraped the floorboards a coupla times (no big deal, but it scared my +2).

We went to an 08 Heritage this spring from an 07 883 custom. We both love it. I have offered to upgrade the passenger pillion several times but my better half is fine with the stock. Granted she has no interest in long rides but loves the 50-80 mile range. I also enjoy the low feel and have heard often that you sit in a Heritage not on it and I agree. If it helps any I'm 6' 210 and 64. Good luck with you choice.

thanks for the info. the ol lady would like just alittle bigger seat for the long hauls. i agree you sit in it not on it. unlike a roadking. i'm 6,1 240lbs ollady is 5,7 130lbs and we had plenty of room. she would like floor boards too instead of pegs. i am thinking about maybe taller apes too. and diffiently louder pipes.

I put a wider pillion and backrest, and slipons on mine. Also have the passenger floorboards and they are all nice add ons.
