Red drips, green drips, it's off to the garage I go
My Fatboy started marking her territory lately, so I did some fluid changes to determine what was happening. ATF in the primary, green food coloring in the tranny. Took it out for a ride, parked it with a white paper towel under it.
Looks like a new shifter shaft seal for the tranny and we'll see what the primary holds for me. I just replaced both inner seals on the primary and I''m thinking the bolts behind the clutch are leaking. Didn't see that part in the manual about silicone on them when reinstalling....
Gonna be a get dirty day, lol
Just an FYI for those replacing the inner primary seals. HD has updated the design of the starter shaft seal. That was the main one that was leaking and I had just replaced it back in May. The new design has a much bigger inside and outside lip with springs around them. The old one was just your basic design seal. It has an updated part number and make sure your dealer doesn't try to unload his old stock on you.
