Default bag mounts

OK guys and gals, which quick release bag mount is the best?
While having the least obvious mounting bolts with the bags off.
Looking to run 70% bags off to 30% bags [overnight trips] on a 05 deluxe.
Thanks for you input

Cool! I am very curious about bubba's, it sounds like they might be the least visible when bags are off.
I can't tell anything from their web site. I also have the detach. HD backrest set-up to deal with.
Thanks again for your input!

Well you seen my Bareback system. It is a easy set up with the Back rest hardware included. I think it is very clean looking as well. I also have a 05 Deluxe and ride 90% with no bags so I can relate to your desire for the clean look. I can't speak for other systems. I did have EZ brackets and I did not like them. The bags set out from the bike too much for my liking with them. Good luck and post pictures and opinions when your done. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply!
I think that it will be barebacks or bubba's.
They seem to keep the bags the closest to the bike with out rubbing.
I will post pistures when I get them all set up.
Thanks again, you all save a lot of extra footwork!

One more question for IReady. Are those kuryakyn pass. footboards? and how did you mount them? I have been looking for a way [other than the HD mounts] to mount pass. floorboards that sit above the SE 16 gauge pipes instead of outside of them.

Bubba brackes are probaley the less visible. ghost brackes leave a lot of room between the strut and bags so do most of the others

I've got Barebacks from Cyclevisions. Love 'em. For me, the best choice. And no re-location issues.

Today I installed the Bubba's setup on my '07 Heritage. I also used their detachable uprights. The bags are very close to the fender struts. I would say with this setup (Bubba's uprights) the bags are closer to the bike than with the HD detachable uprights. My bags are within a 1/4 inch of the uprights which is a bit closer than with the stock setup. With the HD detachable uprights they will be a bit further out because the HD detatch kit is thicker than the Bubba's. Either way, they are very close to the bike.

There are a couple options on how to handle the forward strut on the '07 Heritage, the one I used is simply a chrome nut that is tethered to the strut. The other is some kind of "crow's foot" that sits on the passenger foot peg mount. I believe that require you to change the strut on the bag which I didn't want to do. Be sure to call Jim or Rick at Bubba's when you order and discuss it. Very friendly and helpful guys!

I had the Easy Brackets on my Low Rider and didn't like them because they set the bags out 1 1/2 inches or more.

Jim

Thank you for the good information!
I will give them a call to find out how the softail deluxe set up would work.
