I work for a local Harley dealer here in Vermont and have a chance to buy a 1995 Bad Boy that has been on the lot awhile. It has a windshield, backrest and some ratty SE pipes. I do recon there and today we cleaned it up alot by buffing the paint and taking some light rust off of some chrome parts. The bike must have been dropped as it has a small dent on the left side of tank but no scratches in that area. The bike has minor rust on the frame also but I think that can be cleaned up easily an touched up. Overall I think it looks great and it only has 15,700 miles on her. I rode it about 18 miles on a test ride and it seemed to handle well and had no major issues. I love the springer front end! They want 7999.00 but I think I can get it cheaper. Anyone have any thoughts on this possible buy and know any issues that the EVOs have or general issues? I would definitely plan to do a bit of touchup paintwork and get that dent out!
Yeah been looking at prices on the net and they def seem higher! I think it's been in our used bike section going on 3 months now and being end of the riding season I know they will want to move it! I am going to see iff they will take 7k. The worst they can say is no right!
I always loved those 95 Bad Boys. IMO, they're one of the finest machines H-D ever produced. The same can be said for the EVO engines. You can put a ton of miles on them without issues. Yeah buddy, offer 7k, if they won't accept that, they'll probably at least meet you in the middle at 7.5k which would be a great ride for that kind of money.
Is it the Black & Blue like this one? That b!tch would look even better with Black pipes, handle bars, headlight, primary & fender struts, oh yeah!
No its the red one. Its a 1995 with a mechanical speedo. I guess they changed that for 96' because I saw a few on the net with digital odometers and different speedo. One of my good friends has a 97' Bad Boy like the one in your picture that is mint with less then 7K on the ODO. He is the original owner. The only mods he has are V&H longshots on it. I agree with some nice pipes! I have a sweet 2 into 1 RB Racing that is all black on my Nightster. It looks awesome and performs great too!
Just buy it, you'll likely never find another one cheaper with that mileage. Good Lord, I'm not even sure why you're asking for opinions. Buy an extra set of jugs off fleebay and you can keep an EVO running for another 20 years in your own garage. Simply not so with any EFI bike.
Yeah I hear ya on that! My only dilemma is no work after the end of his month and a 6 month old son so I do have priorities but I will do my damnedest to acquire it!
