Docking hardware covers with barebacks

Docking hardware covers with barebacks
Has anybody used the HD docking hardware covers on docking points WITH Cyclevisions Barebacks for you bags? I wondering how they will work/look with the extra length of the barback on the end of the docking mounts.
I posted a while back about my plan to make all the extra crap detachable. This weekend I relocated my rear turn signals to the license plate wount, using a Kuryakyn 3155 reloaction kit - couldn't be easier. Then I installed my docking hardware kit for my detachable backrest sideplates, replacing the kit bolts with the brand new barebacks I got on Ebay for $30. Also couldn't have been easier. I think most of the time was taken up polishing the fender strut covers before I put them back on.
So, anyhow, got that all done, now have a detachable backrest and saddlebags, and changed my oil(s) and spark plugs. Pretty good weekend of motorcycle maintenance.
Now, I'm thinking I'd like to put those HD chrome covers over the bareback/docking posts when they aren't in use and I figured I'd ask here.
Also - any advice on what is a good way to fill the extra holes in my fender strut cover, now that the rear signals are gone?
