Default unsafe???

So I have a 10 fatboy lo and want to replace my floorboards with pegs and a 2" ext. I email LV HD and was told harley didnt make parts for that and that it was "So unsafe to do it beacause it sits so low youll fall over" Now I'm no expert but that sounds like a bunch of crap! Can or should it be done and around what does it cost?

Yep, total crap! Email them back and say, "if H-D doesn't make parts for that, then WTF is THIS?"
They probably make an extension that'll fit it, too, but I didn't look. If not, it's easily available on the aftermarket. Good luck!

I think the problem is scrapping. Because it sits low it's not that you'll fall over it's that you'll be scrapping primary and pipes. I scrape my pipes sometimes and I have boards. If you can live with that no problem there'll just be less wiggle room when you start to drag.

It certainly does. I just read as far as FLSTF and stopped. I don't see why that wouldn't fit a LO, if it'll fit a standard Fatboy. I would question that. Sometimes they fib on fitment for one reason or another. Unless the foot controls are radically different between a standard FB and a LO, I would think that it would fit, but I've been wrong before...
