They do take orders for custom handlebars, yo can get them anyway you want.
@Malingerer, yes, there is a simpler but more expensive way to do this and it is getting Cyril Huze apes which come with everything pre-wired internally (clutch, brake lines, electrical and throttle/idle) those are plug and play but you have to convert your clutch from mechanical to hydraulic, easy to do, there are several systems in the market.
The Huze's setup is beautiful the switches are concealed and you only see flawless smoth lines from grip to grip.
Here is the response I got from Carlini on making custom order bars!
Hi Daniel,
I'm sorry but we can not make the bars without it. Raw piston risers are no problem.
Thanks,
Rex

Hello again,
I'm still deployed at the moment so don't have access to a good phone as of yet but am hoping you could answer a couple of questions.
I've decided on a set of your apes but ams doing a clean set up with no control pods on the bars, I can't find any detailed pics of the bars but it looks like they taper down at the ends where they drop it 1" . I'm using grips that are 1.50" and want to know if I can get a set of raw bars that have no taper and just drop to 1" so the bars and grips will appear to be seamless.
I am also curious if I can get a set of Piston risers RAW as I need to do some fitment work to the bars and then have everything PC'd the same color black.
And what extra cost would be involved.
Thank you so much,
Daniel
So much for custom orders.
I'm just gonna buy a raw set and chop them down to what I need and make inserts to drop from 1.50" down to the 1" with out having a taper to them...

Bummer, looks like the guys at Carlini are swamped with work. I personally picked up my set of Flyin' apes back a while ago, Rex took care of me. Back then they had a special order service.

You may want to try BR custom bars he can do a lot of different things to your specs. But i just put gangster apes on my Lo and they are beautiful. So i can see why you want Carlini bars.
I know this is an older post but you can go one step further to add to your seamless look and use a proportioning valve from wilwood off your foot brake master cylinder to a "T" then directly to your front brakes like I did on my chopper and shave that master cylinder off your handlebars as well. Just a thought. Great post though. Im buying the exile internal now because of this post.

You would need to upgrade your rear master cylinder to an 11/16 bore, but yes it can be done. I think Exile even makes a setup for exactly that. I thought about going that route, but decided on the foot clutch instead, and the two do not coexist very effectively. I just opted to rUn the brake line in the bars to clean it up as much as possible.
Hmmm, I'm not happy to learn that I have to cut and weld on my new bars to make the internals work. I knew I would have to drill some holes, smooth them out but not the other. OH well, no turning back now. I have a question, why is your front brake line not run through the bars too?
