The discussions and "How to Write-Upsss" (some of us need the words and pictures) to tackle working on my bike. Plus it cost to much to pay someone else and alot of the times they don't care about your bike as much as you. I also get really good info on parts here which has helped me find better deals at swapmeets and crapbay. So thanks everyone. And please stop making my credit card explode.
I couldn't agree more. I have owned my bike for less than year and have gone from not having the confidence to change the oil to my plans to replace the cams this winter.
The other thing I would tell those even more noobier than myself is ignore the haters you will find IRL. Dealers, indies, etc are all threatened by the "hive" knowledge a forum like this creates. Some will try to discourage you "Oh, they said that on the INTERNETS! -- followed by laughter". For the most part ignore them.
And my thanks to all those that have had a kind word of encouragement or earned wisdom to share.
Sitting here drinking my coffe now! lol +1 I have learned so much from the guys here and try to pass on what i know and stay quiet if I dont. I think as far as people knowing their bikes this section just might be the most knowledgable on the forums.....just saying
Right on, no matter what I have been looking for, a general search will always provide some very informative and useful information, especially those service bulletins and recall notices.
