I want to remove my mufflers off of my 2011 fat boy and extend the pipes about the same length as stock. will I have to to do some kind of ecu tuning or will it be ok ?
Sorry we can't read Ur mind.
Are U talking so new slip ons or just adding more straight baffleless pipes?.
U should still have more warranty left so I wouldn't run just straight pipe, Even without a warranty I wouldn't recommend that.
It really hurts U low end TQ, and will just make a LOT of noise, that Ur neighbors and Ur ears wont like.
Either way as we've said thousands of times in here before, Pipes only U don't need to do anything to Ur motor, But U'll still be running EPA lean which most of us don't like.
yea I was just planning on taking the slip ons off and adding some more straight pipe so they won't be so short an leaving the slip ons off.
still in warranty
I do have a open air filter I plan on putting on. this is just a short term thing until I can buy the pipes I want. I say no more than 3-4 months. I could put some baffles in them but I was thinking strait pipe.
Just so you know that by running and open exhaust no baffles. You run a chance of sucking a valve while running in cold weather, you bike will pop like crazy. I would just stay stock until you have the cash to get the pipes you want and and do the A/C and an ECM Update or tuner at the same time. Just not worth the risk.

What he said. If you are only a couple months from getting a complete and proper system then why risk doing something that could hurt your scoot in the meantime?
