The suspense is killing me, I want to see the finished product! lol
I know the feeling of working on a rear fender and having to wait. My body guy had mine for almost 3 weeks due to my lack of communication while I was in Hawaii.
Well I got bored waiting on the sand blaster today do I hand built myself a new belt guard that will be supporting the same paint as the tins. I wanted the guard to match the rear fender so I stretched it also.
looks great man! one thing i would sugest... shave the mount tabs on the front fender so it looks like it flows with the fork legs... when i cut my fender from a blank i made sure to taper that area in... will really clean up the look with a subtle detail... if it helps here are some pics of how i did mine, you can see how shaving them out makes the fender flow much better with the curve of the tire bud
Thanks guys. Yes I am finishing the fender spacers today and trimming the ears on the fender to flow better with the fork legs. Tank and rear fender getting sealed and primered today. Hope to have seek peeks of the color combo by next week. Let's just say it has an old school lines and colors with a lot of sparkle.. And a final touch of hand pin stripes.
Man Rob you got some skills bro. That belt guard looks ****.You are going all out. This is gonna be one BAD *** bike when its done. The difference is always in the details.Great Job.
