Thanks, DR. Is it possible to lower any more with the existing hardware? It looks like I could move the bolts closer towards the shocks and get another .5" or so - is this the case?
On softails the longer the shock the lower the bike. So you'd move the nut away from the shock.
Yep, just thread the outside nuts toward the end of the bolt and then screw the nuts that are on the backside of the rubber grommets out and that will lower the bike.
Thanks for all the input guys. I brought it down another 1/2" or so and now the fender sits right at the top of the rim with me on it (which is perfect). Now I just hope it doesn't bottom out too much with my wife on.
I like where the front is at now but I'll probably have to bring that down a bit when I get the 21" wheel on here in the next couple of months...
This is what you need to lower the Deluxe. It's the most cost effective way and these are good quality. I installed them on my bike in August and couldnt be happier.
I dig the color Bro. It reminds me of another vicla I've seen before HMMMM!
Ha! For sure, man.
I really want to trade out my V&H radius pipes for some cholo's. But I'm gonna throw some knuckle bars on first to see how I like that look...the radius pipes are WAY too loud for my tastes though. ****'s deafening! I feel like "that guy" every time I pull out of my garage...
