Own an 04 Fatbofy (FI). Brake light does not work with foot peddle, but works with front brake lever. Where should I start? I'm thinking it's the switch.
Switch. My 04 Heritage does that now too. I will replace it when I park it, however knowing that I have no brake light with the rear brake, I am conscious to use the front and back together (as I should anyway!)
Brake light switch. Grab a new one at any auto parts store or the dealer. Mine went out on my 02 got one from autozone and has been fine ever since. I think the test is remvoe both wires fromteh switch and attach them to the opposite points to see if it works. No workee, need new switch.
If it works for one switch and not the other, then that should be the switch... for me, it didn't work at all so it was either both switches or the socket.
