Default Driver's Backrest

I have a Firehouse Customs backrest that claimed it was for the '09 Heritage. In fact, it was not. It was designed for the earlier models which apparently had a different passenger pillion. At any rate, it is pushing me too far forward onto the horn.

Has anyone else found one to work? I don't want to invest in a new seat, as I like mine. I did see grasshopper has one. Anyone have one?

Maybe I should get someone to make a bracket and attach the pad to it??

Heat it up and bend it to where it is comfortable. Then get it re coated if necessary.

How does it work with the passenger pillion? Does it push you forward? I'm looking to get the pad to line up with the back edge of my seat.

The Grasshopper pad does push you forward a bit. To get it to line up with the back edge of the seat you'd likely need to tweak the bracket a bit.

Get creative.... I made mine for solo riding...

I took the stock pillion seat that I had laying around after I bought the wife the Touring seat and made it into a Back Rest rear fender bid for me when riding solo... its not, nor will I/can I use it for a rear passenger seat.

Its 7 ins higher that the back of the stock front seat which I love and its great for long solo rides

Thumbs included.

IMO I love the looks on our Heritage when its on.
