chrome outer primary
Have any of you had your factory outer primary chromed instead of buying the new one ($331 for mine)? How much did it cost you. Know of anyone in the South Central KY area?

I bought the whole Chrome engine package from M&M cycles, Primary, derby, cam cover, rocker boxes, lifter blocks, trans top and side plus all the gaskets. Genuine Harley parts, part #16318-01A, for a little over $500.00. Worth it if your going to do it piece by piece.
I don't know why the primary inspection cover is not included in this set. I had to order it separate, but you might already have it.

I live way out in the hills, not close to any HD dealers, so I order a lot of stuff from Surdyke's as they give good discounts for internet orders.
Was curious and checked with them for a price on 16318-01A. Shows a list price of $699, and they have it for $598 with discount.

Here's a list of platers, your looking at roughly $150 to chrome it.
