Default uhh ohh, need help stuck bolt

So i was changing the bolts on the rear fender struts and 2 of the 4
came out relatively easy but the back 2 were difficult. So i thought
id try a little harder and slip, stripped the allen hole out. the other
side is not stripped yet but i cant get it loose. The other bolts i did get
out had that HD yellow compound on them which i asssume is some
sort of lock tight but im used to blue and red... any suggestions?
any penetrating fluid or anything that may work with that stock
yellow substance? and even worse any suggestions for the stripped one?

The bolts aren't Torx type heads??

My '05 Fatboy is all Torx type fasteners.

You could try putting a larger soldering iron into the head of the bolt and it should heat up the thread lock compound enough to release the bolt. You could also grind a straight slot into the the top of the bolt head for a larger flat tip screw driver. Then apply heat to the bolt.

How did they become allens? Did you change them? Mine are Torx as well.

You might doublecheck before you strip them out.

If you don't have a large soldering iron, you can heat up a large screwdriver or pipe with a torch or on the stove and use that.

I am very good at stripping out bolts . You can try the next size up allen wrench. Or if you get that slot in and it is still giving you trouble you could use a small impact wrench - my $.02 from experience

Mine are thorx also they should only have blue lock tight on them and should have not been that hard to remove .Its harder to strip an allen then a thorx.if they are allen and striped try a thorx in there you may ge able to catch it with the thorx having two more points

If it is yellow locktite then you will require heat to unlock it,try a small butane torch (carefully),that is what is used in the Automotive industry,a lot of vehicles a coming out with it now,a real PITA .
