Been a while since I posted. Looking at installing a jockey shift on my 08 Crossbones. For those who have it how do you like it? What is the learning curve? I live on top of a hill so the learning curve will have to be quick. Share your thoughts. Thanks
Going up a hill is simple as long as you have a front brake. Hold the front brake, shift in to gear, let the clutch out out give it gas and let go of the front brake. It took me a few hours till i was comfortable enough to ride around town.
I just built a jockey shift for my '05 NightTrain a few months ago. The learning curve wasnt too bad at all. It took me about 5 stalls to get it out of the driveway to figure out where the "sweet spot" was. From then on, it's been nothing but "Thats cool" to "How the he!! do you ride with that". Best thing is that I did all of the design and fab work myself. Oh, and going back and forth to a regularly shifted bike...no problem at all. Its like it's second nature now. I would post up some pics for you, but I am currently overseas right now. I need to have my wife email some of my pics that i took, maybe it will help you out.

If you have pics of your set up, maybe you can post them. I'd like to see what you came up with.
Travis... One of the guys in the crew just put a LA kit on his Rocker (Mike) or if you want you can take a test ride on mine, but if you kill it 3 times no more trys... lmao
We gonna meet at BK on sunday to do the POW/MIA run... I'll shoot you a txt with the time!
Thanks for the reply's guys. I will be biting the bullet after the holidays I will keep everyone posted. Next up after suicide clutch is open primary... Thanks again
One more thing.... I scored a 21" rim off my buddies 10 wide glide. I know this rim will not fit as is. If I get spacers from another Springer model, Softail Springer or Bad Boy, will those work??? Or will I have to get those made. Thanks again.
