I just got mail from Rick at Labriola to say my kit has been shipped, trouble is I forgot to tell him bout the Samsons, so he said I'll have heat the shift lever up and bend it to clear the pipes. Anyone else done this?.
I had to hear my shift linkage to fit for the pipes when I put the Samson's on. I used mapp gas and put teh linkage in a vice. I took a piece of pipe and applied pressure once the linkage was hot. It was simple and did not take very long. You will most likely need to rechrome your linkage as when you heat it the chrome will turn brown. I never bothered as the part of the linkage that got heated cannot be seen with the crossover pipe.
Been a while since I posted. Looking at installing a jockey shift on my 08 Crossbones. For those who have it how do you like it? What is the learning curve? I live on top of a hill so the learning curve will have to be quick. Share your thoughts. Thanks
Try hitting DynaBob up on the train forum,I think he is selling his Labroila, don't think he likes it.
Thanks Drew, doesnt sound like too much of a problem,
I was quite surprised when Rick said he had already shipped it, as there were lots of stories about his waiting times, its only been 3 weeks since ordering.
