Question Deuce question?

Has anyone installed beach bars on their Deuce and if so which ones and
could I see some pics.

I need to get my bars closer to me as my back kills me after a few miles.

Thanks for your input.

not really sure, but I don't know how good looking beach bars on a deuce would be. Obviously looks aren't as important as your back, but there are a ton of bars out there, that will bring the grips further back and still look ok. the reason you haven't gotten any replies is most likely, nobody has done that mod. I would suggest looking around some more and you will almost guaranteed to find the best of both worlds, then come back here for some pics, somebody will be glad to help

I had a deuce and it's only my opinion...............DON'T put beach bars on that bike! I think it would ruin the long low lines of that bike. I have seen Carlini bars that I believe are a bit "pulled back" and suit what you're looking for.

Beach bars on a Deuce? Nothing personal, but why?
On a Heritage or a Deluxe I can see, they fit that 'style' better, but not a Deuce.
DresserDude is right, it would not look right.
Especially when you consider that you might need to use some really tall risers to keep them from hitting the dash or tank at full lock.
I would look into different shaped bars that will put the grips where you need them.
Even if it meant having to get custom bars made up it would look much better.

Not to push a certain maker or style, but why not get something like the Bombay Bars I have on my Custom?
They put the grips back and down without the low wide look of a Beach bar (that doesn't fit the look of a Deuce very well) and give you a tach housing as a bonus.

Thanks for everyones input. I think you hit on the deciding factor, I don't
want to destoy the lines of the bike. i'm sure if I keep looking I'll find the right
bars to accent the lines of my bike and bring the bars closer.

This winter I plan on putting Heritage classic bars on mine. Pretty much a direct swap and not much extra to make em work.

rlowride,
Those don't look bad at all.
But they are not the kind of 'beach bars' I was envisioning.
Those are more angular and suit the bike a bit better.
Not sure I like those pipes though, but it's your bike and if you like it that way, more power to you.
