I didnt import it myself, so I have no idea how much the importing cost, but I can tell you that the bike cost me less than the same age UK bike, and it is in fantastic condition, I think because of your weather over there.

Thanks for the positive comments guys it sort of makes me feel better about the cash I've spent. LOL
Jockey shift has been on order for the last 3 weeks from Labriola.

And I figure I may have the funds for the Shotgun by Xmas, gonna look even better slammed.
What I'm liking best about the bike is that its quite unique over here,
And I'm lovin it, the 21'' front really impressed everyone, probably cos they aint seen one before with a 120 white wall tyre, people said they'd seen Beach bars before but not as wide as these baby's,
The Cholo's got a mixed response, though mostly positive comments,
I think one of my mate summed it up when he said the pipes blew everyones minds.
Cant wait to slam it.

Lawnmowerman, just wondering, how strict are they over there about loud exhaust? What kind of gas can you get? I know gas is expensive, like $8.00/gallon? I've been over to Scotland and Wales and never did see a Harley or a full-size pickup truck in 5 weeks...wierd. I'm seriously considering shipping mine over and cruising around for a couple months, thru the chunnel even. Never have driven over there, almost got killed crossing the streets for gawds sake, cars going the wrong way and all.

The police seem to leave Harleys alone, even loud ones, occasionally you might get a strict MOT inspector, (our yearly vehicle inspection) who will make you change your pipes,we use unleaded fuel which is about 6.50 pounds a gallon. There are places that will hire you a Harley, not sure how much though.

How do those cafe bikes make it through inspection? Ive been watching a few shows on those builds and some of those guys use 2-stroke motors. Is it just a noise and rubber type inspection?

Im facinated by the classic British motorcycle culture of the 50's and 60's, I would really like to have an old Norton or Triumph cafe bike some day.

I wrote in my original post...
I do have a small teething problem with the shifting, it was alright at first, but it seems to clunk and grind going into first gear, not sure if the clutch cable needs adjusting or if its the linkage, Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've fixed the problem with the grinding going into first gear, the linkage was hitting the bolt part of the clamp on the exhaust, I just rotated the clamp 10 deg and its perfect, the Indy should really have picked up on it but its done now. thanks for the input guys
