After reading new bike review in American Iron about the FXDWG/I Chris Maida 5'4" had a heck of a time reaching the forward controls on the bike as did Sam Whitehead 5' 8"
I'm wondering how are you guy's/girls with the forward controls on the Softtail Standard in relation to your height?
I don't know about the Softail Standard, but I just bought a Springer and I don't have any problems with the forward controls, I'm 5'11. I've known some people that were long in the legs and short in the body and vice versa. I guess that it would depend on the individual. I'm told that if they don't fit comfortably, that they can be changed.
The controls on the Softail are about an inch closer in. I'm 5'8 (with a 30" inseam), and I found the controls on the Wide Glide a bit of a reach, but the controls on my Night Train are just perfect.
I have a 96 fxsts with 4" risers and drag bars. Being only 5'4" the forward controls were almost out of reach. tried a LaPera seat but that was worse, now have a corbin gunfighter Close that pushes me forward a bit and now everything is cool.
