Hi Folks,
i have recently got an 04 Fatboy which only came with one buttonfob , i bought a second fob off the bay and tried to sync it using the programming instructions but it wont work . its a new fob but i changed the battery anyway and still no go!
When i opened the fob i got with the bike it says EU for the Europe and the one i got off the bay say NA for North America i guess.
Does that mean the second one cant be progammed or has anyone come across this problem and have a solution.?
if you have the Eu fob i believe you probably have and EU tssm module and you will more than likely have to have another EU fob and it being a 2004 you dont have to have the dealer sync those.
There is a sequence in the owners manual that tells you how to tell what tssm module you have.
thanks for the replies , yes i have the EU TSSM , i found that out before when i was trying to disable the Alarm.
the fob i got with the bike works and when u go throught the sequence of syncing on/off/on/off/on etc., it picks up the Eu fob fine but won't pick up the spare ebay one marked NA (USA)- so i guess its a different frequency or something.
Next time im in the dealers i'll ask them if they can progamme it.
Ok just to clarify in case someone else has this fob issue , i bought another pushbutton fob off the bay to have as a spare ,this time an eu version 68927-00 and was able to sych it to my existing fob no problem.
so 68927-00 pushbutton fobs only work with Euroean (Eu) bikes
and 68926-00 pushbutton fobs only work with USA (NA) bikes
