Default Help

I'm in a bit of a mix
My Labriola set up came last week and I was going through the stuff, and found out that I ordered the wrong shift lever, I didnt realise when I ordered it that I was asked whether my shift lever rod, ( which is the lever that the shift linkage attches to) was a straight or offset one, so i have the wrong one, I was thinking it might be simple to just change the shift rod lever for a straight one, and then i would have the right shifter.

Question is for the more mechanically adept among you is:

Can this lever be swapped without taking the primary off, it looks in the manual like you just take a bolt out and slide it off the spline, but I'm not sure theres enough space behind there to get it out and put the replacement one on.

I'm not sure on the changing the lever. Your best bet is to get in touch with Rick at LaBriola and see what he says as he knows all about everything related to his product. I realize it is an international call for you. I'll give him a ring and see what he says.

You have to pull the primary off the get the lever out of there. Straight from Rick's mouth whom said he sent you an email stating the same. Whtehre you ship the old one back or change the ear, enjoy.

what kind/model of bike is it the rear shift lefer can be removed off the shaft on a 10 roadglide, and would think that would mean any of the newer style framed 6 speed touring bikes , cannot say for softails or dyna's . you do have to take the bolt compleatly out so the lever can slide past the groove
