Has anyone used Bestem USA products? They offer a bolt-on backrest for softails for about $90 +shipping. I didn't see any reviews on it at their website.

ebay has some backrest for stock deluxe seat .

I have the springer rail and tall back rest. I had to lean the rail forward by putting a 1" spacer and using a longer screw to attach the rail. The pad does not support my back. It hits me right at my belt. One of the Queens, Twiggy has the same rail and pad but she had her back pad doubled in thickness. The rail and pad are very expensive and still available on Ebay. I wish now I had not spent that much money. it was obscene! A company called http://www.grasshopperlimited.com/harleydavidson.html makes a backrest that connects between the seat and pillion by using those two large mushroom head screws under the seat. I talked to them about bending the support arm so the back rest will actually fit me in my back.

I wanted to post a pic of your set up but not without your permission, thanks for posting yours. Will your pillion pad fit with the back rest in place under those large screws?

Yes the passenger pillon will fit without any problem
I've tried it before, but I always ride solo, that's why I prefered not to mount it.

Default Astech seats question

Has anyone had a seat redone by them, I been searching for reviews and no luck they are out of Indiana. What I read on there site they shape the seat to your fitting and I am wondering how comfortable they really are.

I to had back surgery twice the second I ended up with rods and screws its tuff to go on long putts.

The rider backrest came UPS today. It looks real nice, feels great, and it seems like a quality item. Well worth the $99.

I'm another bad backer, so glad to hear more positive feedback on this one, thanks. I was just looking at this one the other day.

Although, I'd like to have Skeet's high back Heritage backrest, but now if it's not that functional not sure I want to spend the extra. ((Skeet if your ever going to sell it let me know))

I was thinking of taking the pad off the Bestem and making one of similar shape of the Heritage backrest and getting it wrapped at a local upholstery place.
