Question- Fat Boy
It makes the rear cylinder shut off at a certain temp. while you are standing in that hot summer traffic. Which cuts down on the heat on your inner thighs. It kicks the rear cylinder back on as soon as you go to move and give it gas.
I can steer you in the right direction.

If they won't let you demo a new bike, go to another dealer (if you have an option).

h. EITMS: Set to 1 (enabled), but it doesnt work on 07s unless you have the ECU firmware that makes it available. I dont so it doesnt work, but I can live without it. My bikes front-head temperature doesnt get up to the 290° tripping point often anyway.
I found out they dont make that anymore, so i went to
http://www.schaeffershd.com/new_vehi...sc=Motorcycles
there i got to see what other colors were available..the apple green/vivid black ...fire engine red looks cool...but thats just me..i also realizes they are custom colors...but i hate to get stuck with a color i may/or may not grow on..
did all your bike have ABS/security?? i think it definitely nice to have those features..alsome being 5'7...will i have a problem riding the regular fatboy??
once again, thank you all for your time ..being in california sucks because there is the california emission law prevents me from registering a used bike under 7,500 miles.
that limits alot of my buying choices...i've seen some nice bike but just couldnt buy it..damn!
ride safe

Nor Cal dealers don't like to negotiate much. If there are 2011's available - they will budge a little. I would say you can walk away w/out paying any dealer fees and freight on a 2012. Work them to get accessorries at least 15% off add-ons, but you'll have to purchase everything at once if you're going to finance it into the deal. One reason they won't negotiate much is because of the 103 engines, not to mention you're at the beginning of the 2012 season - so they'll hold on to the bikes until spring/summer.
Reasons to buy in the winter: 1. Dealers are slow and are hurting, but they're all stocking up on inventory for spring. 2. You can get the color and options you want - if you wait until spring, bikes will sell fast! 3. Since you're in Cali - we have year long riding weather, just gear up! 4. If there is something specific you MUST HAVE, then have them hunt it down and do a dealer trade for you or order it from the factory. ABS is Factory installed - the dealer can not install it, so you might have to wait.
One thing to remember is that you're tax rate is based on the County in which the bike will be registered in. 9%, 7.50% etc....makes a difference! plus you have to pay the $200 CA Emmissions fees. You can compare pricing from others in CALI, but the info. from others in Missouri would be irrelevant to what's available here.
On another note: check craigslist often! You can always finance a used bike through Harley for a small fee.
I recently purchased my 2012 FBLO (big blue pearl) w/ABS. Another new feature on the 2012 bike not mentioned is the TRIP button which will tell you what gear/RPM you're in. The hazards is now activated by a single button as well. Hope you score a good deal!!!
