So I'm thinking of ditching my PV and getting a Thundermax setup instead. Can I unmarry my PV and sell it to someone?

If I remember correctly you just load the original tune back on the bike and it removes the "saved" config and then it can be used on any bike.

I live my T-Max, it just works.

I think this is how it works - It is married to your bike. Some one can buy it from you then pay ~$200 to Dynojet for another license for it marry a second bike.

I believe the $200 license is to use it on an additional bike, ie. if you had 2 bikes an wanted to use the same tuner for both of them. If you unmarry it then you should be able to sell it and the new person shouldn't have to pay dynojet. This could potentially make someone pay more for a used one than a new one.

Default PV

Well I've gone with the PV and the auto tune. Read a bunch and feel I can get dynojet assistance about anywhere if needed. They didn't have a canned map for my 124 S&S build but told me to download whatever program I have on the ecm and email it to them and they'll write a starter map and have it to me the next day. Pretty awesome customer service I think. I had the PCV with auto tune before and it worked fine but I was at the mercy of the Dyno to properly tune. I'm hoping I can do the tuning myself now between the autotune and a good manual.

The whole point of the pcv and auto tune is so you don't have to take it in. As long as your targets are set right there is no need to do anything hence the term auto.
