Im 5'6'' and had a set of 12.5 chubby wild ones on my luxe and they were at perfect hight just above shoulder hight, but keep in mind that I had a le pera bare bones seat, drops you down a bit also.

If your even just a bit handy with tools, do it your self and save some dough..Its not that hard to do. The guys on here will guide you thru the installation if you get stuck. A shop manual is a must. Taking your time it will take you a few days and and about a 12pk of brews.
yea!! idk i put on full exhaust before air cleaner upgrades but that really isnt hard . for some reason this job im afraid of . i have handy freinds that r willin to help but i just feel better if a real tech does it this way everything is warranty . it also has abs. not sure if that complicates things or not

I'm 5'6", 30" inseam. I have the 12.5" Wild1's with the stock 3" risers, and they sit right at my shoulders, bro. I have a Bare Bones and the apes are rotated forward (and I probably slouch too much), and that all puts them a little above the shoulder. No flak from cops in FL with 'em...yet.
As far as apes go I think the look is important also. The Black Pharoah is running 12's and I think they look awesome on his bike. BobberEvo is running much taller ones and they look sick on his.
