Default Apes on a 2012 Lo

Ok ive got a 2012 Fatboy Lo and am wanting to do some apes. My question is i dont know wether to go with 16" or 14". I havent found much to sit on to get the feel of which id like better. Id like to see some pics of people actually sitting on there bike. Im about 6' tall so i think id prob be good with 16" but id like to see pics of you guys actually sitting on them to see where your arms go. Thanks! Garrett

Ill take a couple pics when I get home... I had the same questions before I got mine this year and I'm happy with 16's. Only difference is I dont have any risers on mine theyre basically built in. I'm 5'9 and when the shotgun is all the way up my arms are basically straight out and level... different story when you take some air out. With you being 6'0 I'd say with 2'' risers you'd probably be where I am. Some people love big apes and will tell ya go big... guess it's just preference. Buddy of mine has 16's with 4'' risers and hes about 6'2 and he wishes he went a little bigger. Also take into consideration your stat laws. Basically any apes are illegal in NY and it all depends on the cop and if he wants to be a ******.

I'm 5'10" with 16" RSD apes.. I love them.. totally comfortable.. I don't have any pics with me on the bike but my arms are basically straight if I'm sitting up straight.

you won't like the price of any of them once you buy everything you need.. my apes, risers, grips and cables ended up being 800 bucks.

my stock risers wouldn't work with the apes... I figured I might as well get matching grips since I was changing the rest.

I'm 6' with 18's and I love the hell out of 'em. My Le Pera seat lowers me 2" more than the stock seat, but here's a pic:

Yep he's right about the cost just buy a quality bar and they are worth the extra money. L.A. Choppers has some nice bars as does Carlini which I have as does B.R. depends on the style you want the more the style the more $$. Simple curved bends are cheaper then the welded ones. I know the feeling had to choose and what size to get is tough
