I am considering purchasing a deuce or fatboy. Any pros or cons for either, year model recommendations? Any and all advice appreciated....

What year vs what year? You can buy a 2012 Fatboy but not a Deuce.

They are two different animals as far as looks. I do like the Deuce look a lot. I had to make the same kind of decision. I have never riden one but the weight of the Deuce is just a bit less...maybe more nimble (if you can say that about a Harley). The Fatboy is a big solid machine and feels that way. They both customize well. If you go with the FB, I would go 07 or later. 96" motor, 200mm rear tire. I like fuel injection...some don't.

The Fatboy is a bike that can reinvent itself .... full on custom, part or full time bagger or with the LO another only darker version of a bike that is an ICON ...... And in my personal oppinion a better looking bike with long hrs in the saddle comfort!.....

Two quite different bikes so it depends on your priorities. Fatboy probably has more kudos.

FATBOY!! Large Fat Tires. Big front end.
Duece, Skinnieee Frt.
Other then that you could probably change most everything else pretty easy.

I had that same experience. Test rode rode both bikes at the dealership. Fatboy, comfortable riding position. Deuce, slightly forward leaning position. Carburetor vs. EFI. Could not make up my mind. Finally decided to go with a carbureted bike. I was told 2006 will be the last year for carburetors on all HD's. Glad I made a good choice.

Tough choice. I'd pick the Fatboy by a hair.
