Default Getting Dynoed

Have an appointment to get my bike Dynoed on Friday.
Nothing special just a Stage 1 setup. ( Pipes, Air Cleaner & Tunner )
I heard or read something somewhere about ( Parade Mode ) Where the rear cylinder shuts down partially when stopped in traffic.
Is this something I should have done while there since they will be in the ECU anyway??????????
Anything else I should have done while I’m there????????????
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Ask them to lower warm idle to 900-950.

I believe "parade mode" is pretty much for baggers, and that's activated by rotating the throttle forward. I could be wrong.

Herksuper.
Thanks for the heads up.
Wouldn't want to sound like an idiot when I show up at the shop.

Twin cams need a certain idle to maintain oil in the top end of the bike,. This is not recommended but if you are more about how your bike sounds than how long it runs have at it.

Thanks Drew.
Plan on keeping this one for a long time.
Need to start a stable sooner or later so I guess this can be the first.
Next one is going to be a 1200 Sportster soon as the wife passes her Riders Edge Course

alauhog,
I can tell you for a fact that your Fat Boy has that rear cylinder cutoff when it's hot and idling. It's called (EITMS) Engine Idle Temperature Management System.

I had it on both my 2010 and 2012 Fat Boy Lo's.

There is mention of it in your Owners Manual like page 56 or so.

It comes from the factory set to off. You have to ask the dealer to turn it on.

My HD dealer service guy said that it only came on touring bikes but after being persistant and showing him mention of it in the manual he asked his mechanic and low and behold he was enlightened with the knowledge that it is on the softails.

One note with the (EITMS) on the softails.
Unlike the Touring models that can turn that feature off and on by twisting their throttles forward.
Once it is turned on by the dealer it is only activated by a predetermined engine temperature and shuts off automatically as soon as you give the bike gas when you start moving again.
When it kicks on at idle the first time you are gonna think your motor just broke. Don't worry it is that way because it is running on just the front cylinder until you give it gas then it will run as normal.

It's a good feature to have. Especially when it is hot out, like I'm sure it is where you are.
I also went with the heat shields http://www.rjsoriginals.bizland.com/newSelect0010.htm they match the bike perfectly and are barely noticible, but help keep that heat off your right thigh. Well worth the money!
He is also a sponsor here and you can get a forum discount.
