Just had my 2011 Softail Deluxe 96 c.i. bored to 103 c.i. with 259 screamin eagle cam, 10.5/1 compression, electronic compression releases, port/polished heads, power commander, big sucker breather and Vance & Hines straight shot pipes. Guy who built it says it should have 110-115 H.P. So do the guys at a Harley Speed shop. My dyno guy says 92 H.P. is all he can get without running it too lean, etc. He talked to S&S and they said that is about right. I'm ok with the 92 H.P., but any idea who is right?

On my 2010 Fatboy Lo I did the 103, 259E cams, 10.5:1 compression, manual compression releases, no head work other than springs, D&D Fatcat, PCV, SE A/C, and got 111.18 hp and 116.94 tq. I think your results vary with the quality of your tuner.

may just be the dyno itself. Some are a little stingy where some say more than whats there. Numbers are numbers and thats all how does it ride? The seat of the pants tells more than any dyno can

Hmm... I would have thought your numbers would have been higher than that. My 95 cu. in with 10.2:1 compression is making 106 HP, 108 TQ. The straight shots are costing you a little performance over a 2 into 1 exhaust. But, I would have still expected you to be in at least above the 100/100 mark. May want to take it to another dyno to get a baseline pull for comparison to see if the other dyno is off.
I know I'd get a little more with a 2-1 pipe, but got these pipes before I decided to build motor, not wanting to spend the extra money now.
I hear you. I'm still running Big Shot Staggered pipes on my bike because I got them right before I decided on my build. As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to suck it up and install a 2-1 on mine.
Bike will be done tomorrow and I"ll try to post chart. The tuner is NOT a HD specialist but was on a Japanese bike race team. Also holds world speed record for snowmobile. He says, also S&S told him, no way it can get 110+ HP without doing lower end. As you can see on this board I'm getting the same thing. One says 90s another says he has 111. Says his Dyno is calibrated perfectly, and others are fudging numbers.
