Hi everyone,
Newbie here I have a 2012 Fatboy Lo and LOVE IT!!!
I noticed that the 7" headlight doesn't have very many options for housings. Well lets just say, they're not kind to the wallet and/or not black.
I drew this up while I had some down time and looking to get machining on this during the holidays. The holes in front will actually be countersunk socket head cap screws (still debating on chrome or black hardware). Still have the mount to add also, this will be a bolt on feature and not machined in. The damn raw material for this is getting expensive. Oh yeah, this will fit the stock 7" lens that came on my LO.
I thought I'd share this to everyone. Please comment if you have any questions or comments.
Well if there is some interest in this housing, I could be convinced to run a few more while I'm doing mine. I'm not trying to make a profit...just sharing with the community. I have no idea on cost yet do to the incomplete design...but I'm trying to keep it as low as possible.
Looks sweet Dude, takes talent to do that stuff and I admire anyone who can do stuff like that. I would not fear having one on my bike but it don't fit the look I am going after but still, it's a very nice set up. Good luck and don't be suprised if you have a few takers on your offer. 1 off's or something no one else has are always big when guys are trying to make thier own statment when doing thier bikes.
Looks good man! What's the depth of just the bucket and also what's the total depth with the retainer ring? I may be interested in one.
That would be some nice info huh?
Total length: 10 3/8" long
Bezel: 2 1/2" long
Bucket: 7 7/8" long
O'all Diameter: 8 1/4"
Like I mentioned, I haven't included the mount yet because I have the Fatboy Lo which has the nallace which it will interfere with if position too far back. I don't want it to stick out too far either so I may modify the nallace....up in the air on this one. I'll play with a cardboard cutout this weekend to get a better idea.
