Now here I thought I had to work the bars around the seat. Now something else to add to the equation
I'm going to have to do some detailed research on this. For the past 4 months I have been having very, very bad neck, back, and hip pain. I'm pretty sure it is tied to the motorcycle. Chiropractor helps a little.
If having my arms higher is going to contribute to the problem I'm really going to be in trouble.
I'm going to have to find someone near me with beach bars to see and test them out.
Just my humble opionion, but you might want to get your back troubles/cause sorted out before you pour any more money into engine work and such. I doubt that extra few HP is going to make a difference when you're in pain riding it.

I was having the same problem you are having with the stock deluxe bars. Went to the dealer and he pulled out 6 different sets he popped mine off and while I sat on the bike we tried each set and I ended up with the touring bars which I believe are the bars on the RK. It changed my arm height, reach as well as the angle of my wrists and hands... Much more comfy and no more neck pain !
heres a couple pics of my deuce, I did the cases and trans, but the gold was a slightly different shade from the bike to give contrast the first one is actual color second pic must be from flash angle
That looks great, not gaudy or cheesy but very classy. I get my stuff powdercoated at a local place, but not sure if I would trust an engine to them.
Well anyway, I fiddled with a pic of my bike in Photoshop this morning and I don't like it. The only color that will go is pink - I tried all other shades. And the bike already had enough pink.
I think I will go with the show cut diamond but skip the powder coating.
I have the smoked lenses already. I have to check out your link - but if you guys don't stop suggesting things I will never be done with the mods - it's all you guys' fault
