Looking to replace the football on my 2012 Heritage. I'm torn between a few choices, but the two I like most are the Kuryakyn Mach 2 and the SE Ventilator. Anyone running either of these? Bike is already tuned for a Stage 1.
A cheaper alternative to those $230-$280 filter kits .....found this on the K&N website .....KA-1287....comes with a textured black face plate $56
I fabed up an ally triangle mounting plate / 3 spacers and 3 2 1/2 stainless bolts....picked up this 1/4-20 spinner bolt at a local speed shop for $10......you could save yourself $150-$200 . and the filter is 2 3/4 tall unlike the 2 1/2 from the aftermarket performance kits such as SE , Ness big sucker....etc .
It does stick out alittle further than the stock football maybe 1/2" to an inch. I noticed at 1st because it was different but now i don't notice at all.
It's worth the cash.
I'm not big on Kury, but this time the Kury wins. Check out the Billet Sucker Arless Ness in my photo. There are quite a few styles available, and I prefer it to both of the units that you pictured. To each his own.
