I finally bought the bike I've always wanted, Springer Softtail, It might be cold here in Pa but I'll ride it this weekend. It went up to 54 yesterday so I had to go home at lunch and ride the bike back to work. I'll be smiling for quite a while. Hope to have pics soon.
Is that the Redneck Engineering buell / sportster kit? That Rocks!
JohnK/Pa Congrats!!! Ain't it great!!! Don't worry, you can always tell guys that had just recently bought the bike of their dreams.. Those bugs in your teeth from the big cheezy grin going down the road will eventually brush off. hehehehe
I have a picture on my first ride on the road on my first hog to prove it.. Cracks me up just to look at it.. My riding buds said I had that same grin all day.. like a teenage kid that just won a raffle for a romantic date with Monica Belluci! hehehehe
Whew, wouldn't that be cooooool!
I liked them so much that I bought my first in 1989, and then another one in 1992 - both brand new from the dealer.
Now, I have a 2004 Fat Boy, with only 400 miles on it. I keep getting my b@##s broke by my friends because I never ride it.....but at least I know it's there for when I want to take a quick burst!
I wanted a springer softail (in black of course, IMHO one the best looking bikes they ever made) but of course they quit them in 06 and I had to have the 96" 6-speed. I ended up what I thought was the next best thing when they re-introduced the softail custom. Have fun and ride safe.
