Hey, appreciate all the input and ideas. Looks like a couple of good options. Would still like to hear from someone who has the Kury magnetic setup. Should know in next 2 days if I'm pulling the trigger on the '12 Heritage; dealer is offering what I think is a very good deal with a nice year-end incentive.

I use this. Cost $20. Works good west of Pennsylvania (flat land).

I have the cruise mate on my 08 Fatboy. It does work as advertised easy to operate. On level ground it requires little adjustment to maintain your speed. If its hilly you have to adjust the throttle to maintain your speed but you still can turn the throttle to speed up or slow down and its it adjustable for tension on the throttle. It sure gives your hand a rest with just a flick of the thumb...and pretty easy to install just follow directions..

Throttle boss. Done many many miles with it and no aches. Simple but in a knee jerk reaction like I have had here in Dallas to not have to think about disengaging something or not being in control of the bikes throttle is a good thing

I have the cruisemate on my 08 softtail and love it. 1200 mile return from Sturgis and it was paid for. It works great for me

I've used the Throttle Rocker for years. http://throttlerocker.com/

I could put cruise control on my RK for $300+, but it's hard to justify when the Throttle Rocker works well enough.

I went low-tech and purchased a throttle mate............works great and I spent less that $20.00. Probably the least expensive thing on my bike and the best money I've spent on it.

I went with the Cruise Buddy, you take out Harley's threaded mechanical cruise and bolt in the Cruise Buddy. A short flip and its locked down, also adjustable and can be used with gloves on. The Cruise Mate you have to drill a hole then use a tap to thread the hole. Not too good with stuff like that. Kuryakyn hasn't made a magnetic cruise yet for the 2011 Heritage because Harley changed the wiring for 2011.

What exactly is that and how does it work? Is it basically like a throttle boss or something? Thanks.
