Those might work if they can also hold the exhaust bracket on at the same time and stick out far enough past the exhaust. I can always buy a longer bolt and two nuts to extend the right side one.
The X-bones has its own specific floorboard kit to mount floorboards but I never could find any info on pegs. I don't know if its because of the way the exhaust runs or whatever but its a huge pain and I don't feel like paying out the *** for it. The other areas I wanted to thread a bolt into are closed bolt holes. They can thread in but can't go all the way through. The middle of the swingarm is the only place I can use those clevis mounts if I can find a way safely around the exhaust.
If the struts are made from the same metal my side mount license plate is then I know it will hold a passenger with ease. As for comfort and safety that's up to the girl to decide. I'm going to use the struts to keep the fender from moving while I ride anyways but if someone wants to ride I can easily toss the pad and pegs on and go with a passenger.
Harley also has a peg mount that is about 3" long for use on Softails. It would move the peg outward. The part number is: 50942-00 (not in the P & A book).
Just ordered up the large and small footpeg sets and some generic pegs. I just wanna see how everything looks with both sets on. I think it will work out with the long mounts and some decent sized footpegs. $70 with shipping.
I think the stock peg setup will work fine, this is the best pic I could find of my setup, looks similar. My wife uses the pegs with no issues. your passanger will be sitting lower though.
I'd say you've made that bike into a SOLO ONLY, and the only safe way to carry a passenger is a rocker type Passenger seat. To do anything else would be just plain DANGERous. Then the liberalist will take notice and feel they need to protect US all from OURSELVES and pass another LAW that will PROHIBIT us from modifying our stock bikes in any way. I'm SORRY did I say that OUTloud !!!

That's already happening. They call themselves the EPA!

Kadorja,
I don't think this is a wise idea.
That fender doesn't look like it will hold any weight, especially a passenger. There are no visible supports I can see.
Although it would be funny to watch the first time you tried it. lol
Also, now that your fender is attached to the moving swing arm, if you hit a big bump it would act as a catapult and launch your passenger over your shoulders!
Only a good idea if you plan on divorcing the wife. (just kidding)

Liberalst? To protect us from ourselves? Seriously? More like protecting innocent women from irresponsible individuals who have no problem putting a passenger in an extremely dangerous situation. Passenger safety is the drivers responsibility, not the passenger's.
Being a responsible person makes someone a "liberalist"? Being responsible is conservative, being self absorbed and irresponsible is a far cry from being conservative.
There already are laws against putting a passenger in an unsafe situation on a motorcycle. If riders are too irresponsible to realize (or care) that it's a dangerous situation to bounce a passenger around on a fender that's mounted to the swing arm, then maybe there NEEDS to be a law against mounting a passenger seat that bounces up and down with the back wheel.
