I have already made the conversion on a fatboy 2008 (me and my friend ), the bike runs very well, it remains just turned on the light yellow on dash board, but can be solved by installing the unit Altmann. But in Italy none to get it because is too expensive.

I was actually going to do this conversion on my Dyna before I traded it in. The story about the oil pressure is pure bs. Depending on where you stand with it, it is actually better than FI. Spend about $700.00 to convert it to carb. The engine will run a lot cooler and when you want to add mods to the engine, simply rejet the carb. It is cheaper to convert to a carb than to let's say buy a TMaxx and you will have a cooler running engine and a lower idling engine. When you convert to a carb you don't have to worry about engine fault codes or any of that other bs. When a carbed bike won't run it usually takes just a few minutes to figure out why and it can usually be fixed by you in just a few minutes. When an FI bike shuts down on the side of the interstate and starts throwing codes well, all you can do is call a wrecker and haul it to the nearest stealership.
I would to buy the total kit mikuni, in this kit there is all I need.

This is spot on. A few guys I ride with **** and moan all day about their carbs sputtering and won't start blah blah on their newer bikes. My old EVO runs like a bat outa hell all day long. Get the carb set up right and you are golden. Then if something acts up you can simply clean the bowl, petcock screen or even the jets. Never an expensive fix.

i have had 2 efi bikes and have done all my own work from mild mods to complete rip downs
so you purchased a new 2012 efi bike lost value the minute you rode it off the lot and now your going to de-value your bike even more by doing an efi to carb swap..goodluck let us knoiw how that worked out for ya

give me a break efi bikes dont require fixing carbs do they gum up have choke issue linkage wears out etc.idling below 1000rpm will cause engine failure you will require a higher volume oil pump to compensate

^^^^ Here too. Most of the gumming up problems were caused by the crappy gas we used to have. The fuel is a lot cleaner now. I can't remember the last time I had to change a fuel filter. Back in the late 70's and early 80's (my time). It was normal to replace a fuel filter once a year because it wouldn't run out any more.
