Default Configuring Power Vision

I am getting ready to do my first DataLog tuning run and am having a problem finding out how to set my PV to log the 12 channels (MAP,ET,AFR etc.) recommended in the manual. Anyone know how to do this?

I may have found my solution. Let me know if this is correct. What I need to do is remove the unnecessary signals as the unit's default setting is to log ALL signals.

Yep, on the unit itself you take out all the signals but F&R VE, spark adv, & knock. Then you make your settings file with just those tables from the current map. Using the logger you load the settings file, then the log file, calc tune, apply tune. Save the tune as a new file as to not overwrite the old. Send it to the PV to the same or other slot. Rinse & repeat until VE table changes are 1% or less overall.

Default When saving a value file...

When I go to save a PV value file I am unable to check all 5 of the following tables: VE front, VE rear,AFR and Front and Rear spark. They don't all show up if the PV basic mode. If I switch the software to PV pro mode I am then able to check them all. The problem is when I try and tune this program I get an error box that says "Warning! Required channel(s) missing from log. WB2 Lambda1 Channel Some tuning modes may not be able to be completed using this log."

I believe it is looking for the Lambada log because I am using the software in the "Pro" mode. Have you had this problem??

Oh, what O2 sensors are you using? AFAIK, if you're using the HD stock narrow band, then it will be using AFR instead of lambda, if using the DJ Auto tune setup with WB sensors, you need to select Lambda1&2 on the PV for logging. I don't get any errors, but I'm running the WB sensors. If you not using those and not collecting lambda, then the errors might be expected. You need to stay in advanced mode.

Select these on the PV:

• MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure)*
• ET (Engine Temp)*
• Warm-up AFR or Lambda*
• TP (Throttle Position)*
• Engine Speed (RPM)*
• VE New Front*
• VE New Rear*
• Accel Enrich*
• Spark Knock Front*
• Spark Knock Rear*
• Desired Air/Fuel (Ratio)* or
Desired Air/Fuel (Lambda)*

Later versions of Log Tuner may also require:
• VE Front*
• VE Rear*

Add these if using DJ autotune for both AFR and Lambda bikes/calibrations
• Lambda 1**
• Lambda 2 **

* From H-D data bus
** From DJ Auto Tune (when equipped)

Post to this thread for more info (where I learned) PV Info Thread

OK, I got it figured, I had the AutoTune tab checked. I unchecked it and it worked great.
One more question: The manual says "Log Tuner also will apply corrections to the spark
tables if knock was detected. You should repeat this process until the errors are
minimal, perhaps within +/- 2%." Where are these values found?
