All though the weather has been pretty good here on the east coast i finally decided to lay up for the winter. They have been using that spray on the highways that is very corrosive its used before it snows or it helps keep the roads from icing, that crap will raise hell on your chrome and its not worth it just to get a few miles in. I gave the bike a good cleaning changed the oil and filter stabilized the gas put the battery tender on raised the bike off the ground so the tires will stay round and covered it.All set to roll come around April. days are already getting longer and in less then 90 days i should be back on the road. Its hard to believe that my deluxe is over seven years old all ready i picked it up in sept of 2004 time flies when your having fun.
nikonf8,
Yea, I hear ya on that!
We lucked out and had a great December here and even a nice January 1st to ride the bike around.
Winter has finally shown it's ugly head.
Yesterday I dropped the bike off at the H-D dealer for it's mileage service and check up. I'll pick her up tomorrow and set her up for hibernation in the garage.
When she emerges on the first nice day, she will have Ricor Intiminators in the front forks, Progressive 422 (RAD) shocks in the rear, Russ Wernimont Designs Wide Angle Mirrors (Black), a DynoJet PowerVision, an RSD Black Ops aircleaner and a custom RB Racing LSR 2-1 exhaust.

It's always a sad day. I'm holding out through the weekend since our roads are still free of chemicals but I think that if I don't get out then I'm just going to cover her up, plug in the tender and prepare to be bored silly for a few months.
Ya man I'm with ya on that we hung in there for a little longer this year but like you said it's getting to the point where it's just not worth the finish on the bike for a few more miles.
But there is an up side, it's a good time to do some work to'em with out loosing ride time.
Thats one of the things helps me get through the next few months anyway.
Oh and by the way you've brought her a long way since 04 looks great man, be proud.
It dropped to low 40's here last night and into the 30's tonight but we'll be back to lows of 55 and highs in the mid 70's in a couple of days. I hate winter, its the longest few days of the year. LOL
